I would certainly work back into last year's proposal, mentioning specific areas where the grant they awarded the year before allowed you to meet objectives or specific outcomes that you can already directly attribute to their prior gift. (You probably have text you can lift from your Report Back.) Look hard at the Objectives and Performance Indicators from the older proposal, and show incremental progress and how an additional grant award would allow you to build on the successes you've already achieved thanks to their largess.
