I appreciate everyone's response. I have not found another situation, but am looking. In the meanwhile, I do most of the grant writing work at home now.
Recently, the nonprofit got a double whammy when the government said through the nonprofit food networks that group homes would not be eligble for government distributed food after August 31, 2005. Since the grant they will lose also involved food, they are going to be in a "world of hurt."
They are now $50,000 in the hole this year and laid off employees and reduced others pay, but some good news the CFO got a raise and the Executive Director got a $16,000 raise.
I certainly hope Jesus does come soon to this world to right the wrongs that have been done to the old, disabled, sick, and powerless!
