I agree with the last few postings that you should not charge for your grantwriting at this time. You need lots of time to spend "learning the ropes". As a volunteer grantwriter it took me at least ten proposals to feel confident to charge a fee. I learned from my mistakes and also from being turned down for funding. As a AFP member subscribing to AFP ethics I do not charge a percentage for my grantwriting. Rather,I charge $25 to $50 an hour depending upon the need, type of organization, amount of money to be requested, timeline for submission, amount of pages, etc.
Hang in there and someday you can charge for your services and if you are good at what you do the word will get out and you will be in demand.
