Thanks for your input, Leon. It is very helpful. This is an agency that primarily provides sevices for children and families in an eight-county region. They have partnered with nonprofits and other governmental agencies to secure federal and state funding in the past. I am reluctant to provide too much information because their status as a governmental entity may be changing. I have the FC Search software and am planning to search for private foundations that would consider funding this agency. However, I am uncertain about how to screen out those that will only fund 501 c 3 orgs. I will visit the Learning Lab on the FC website - an excellent suggestion. I have just started working with this group, and I appreciate the advice provided by you and Susan.
