I have worked for various non-profit orgs performing grant writing services. I have been a stay at home mom for almost two years, and am currently looking to return to work. I have been offered a project to work as a consulting grant writer for a local npo, and have a few questions for you seasoned professionals.
First, is it ethical to ask this organization to pay my state registration fee? I am from PA and required to register w/ the Dept. of State as well as various contractual reviewing fees. The prospective organization is interested in numerous grants per month for a perioud of four months.
Secondly, should I seek out an attorney at such an early stage? Is this worth the effort for such a small job?
