We have provided many of our Board members with small (3.5 x 5") notecards with the name of our orgnization printed on the card.
When a Board contact makes a gift- the Board member or other appropriate contact jots a short handwritten note to them. Just a couple sentences is fine. The hand-written thank you (in addition to the other methods of ack.) has elicited positive feedback from some of our donors.
