That helps. But, from this vantage point, I see a few problems. You said the university is prestigious, thus I would expect that its development department would be equal to that lofty evaluation. But, I do question the “event planning” component of the job description provided to you. Yes, the other duties certainly do make the job “highly administrative,” but when it comes to event planning, a great deal more comes into the picture, such as dealing with volunteer leadership of an event, the various volunteer committees to handle the many functions involved, the seeking of underwriting, dealing with vendors, and a great deal more. Somehow, to me at least, that event planning duty is one which may be needing far more than administrative skills, and far more of your time to be able to handle the other, rather disparate, duties. I hope this works for you. No slight intended, and since you are anonymous here, please do take my comments as being nothing but well intentioned to help you take care when you do present your writing in any instance---especially for the possible new job.
