| RE: Accepting percentage of grant fund as payment for grantwriting services?

Just very recently, I was referred to this blog for answering my question to the Foundation Center re: Accepting a percentage of a grant for payment as consultant/proposal writing services. Is it ok to put a line item in Budget for Admin costs or Project Dir for payment as consultant? I have seen in the FDO database of grants that Types of Support include Consulting Services; however, I have not found the grant that suggests including the consultant fees in the grant.
After reviewing your comments, and the Foundation's resources, I am still unclear. Just wanted to know if anymore recent info known on this subject? As a new Consultant/GrantSeeker, it does seem to be more of an ethical issue - with no definite answer! Patiently awaiting your information to go back to my clients [501c3] with an answer!
