thank you! Actually more than I bargained for, so I came out ahead on this one!
Your explanation helps clarify many things for me...having served on three boards to date, and two executive committees of those boards (as it has been called both by policy and culture) I was curious as to the term 'officer' because your interpretation/explanation differed from my own personal experience. Since this is an area where you excel, I will lean on your response for opening this discussion amongst our executive team for future review.
As to the other, it does appear that both you & I poke our heads in on the message board from time to time--Dear Tony still does a tremendous job of providing responsiveness in many cases!
