This subject has come up on this message board before. You might find some interesting insight from others as well by trying the search messages box. In client interviews the subject of certification has never come up. Ever.
However, you can glean valuable information from the organizations you've mentioned in terms of training and mentoring if you are unsure of how to proceed.
