| Re: New Grant Writing Professional Looking for Advice

Thank you for the advise. I've changed my website and am working on updating my brochure to reflect the new fee structure. I want to offer 6 month contracts since I am new to grant writing, I think it will give me the opportunity to prove myself to the organization while still securing myself with the work and ensuring I don't waste my time learning the organization. I find it so difficult to come up with pricing. I've read the articles on here, but I also know that I am less experienced. And working with 6 month contracts would give me the opportunity to "renew" the contracts with them at higher prices after having proved myself. When working out how much to charge as my flat fee for this 6 month contract.. if I wanted to somehow convert when I expected to charge per hour into a 6month fee, about how many hours would I estimate I would be spending on their work a week? I'm not sure if I am asking the question correctly. I realize that after gaining more experience, I will be able to better estimate the amount of work and time that each organization will require, but right now I am afraid of under paying myself or asking too much from clients when I don't have a long list of successes yet. Any further advice?
