It wouldn't influence me to hire you, honestly. And I've never had a client show any interest in my credentials. They want to know what grants I've succeeded in getting and what percentage of our grantwriting clients renew with us year after year because we are successful for them. Grantwriting is a very 'bottom line' oriented occupation. If you don't succeed in raising grant dollars for a client, you will never make it in this business. And if you consistently bring in grant dollars for your clients, they won't care what your credentials are, they'll hire you and renew with you year after year. You will hone your skills best working closely with an exerienced grant proposal preparer with high standards. I have a Quality Assurance/Editor on my staff that has sharpened the skills of every other staff writer whose work she reviews, just by insisting on high quality work and her true understanding of what makes a competitive case for support.
