| Philanthropy-Driven “Membership” Campaigns: Want To Know The “How-To?”
Posted by Tony Poderis on 9/25/2009, 8:02 am VIP Poster
Do you want to introduce a fund-raising membership campaign, or make better the one you are currently working for your organization? Such an endeavor can be the backbone of your Annual Fund Campaign, where your objective is an expanded and reliable base of donors who renew their support, hopefully with increases, year after year. Looking at the nuts and bolts of a membership fund-raising campaign is the best way I know to make its success probable and its process understandable. Breaking down such a campaign step-by-step, point-by-point, lets you present it to staff and volunteers of your non-profit organization (or your clients) in a way calculated to increase acceptance of over-all goals and individual responsibilities. That “How-To” process for the development and operation of your membership campaign is now newly posted and is available on my website. --- Membership Campaigns: The “How-To” http://www.raise-funds.com/090915forum.html Independent of what I have to say on the subject, what questions do you have for the group? Do you want a membership program? Why? If you have such a program, is yours working well or not? Explain. It’s an exercise worthwhile, because membership campaigns, which are philanthropy-driven and recognition-based, are proven and effective tools used to convert prospects into donors, to increase the size of gift, and to build and strengthen relationships. They are one of the most useful solicitation methods fund-raising managers have.
