| Possible to obtain grants for a capital campaign after construction is completed?

The faith-based nonprofit for whom I work recently completed our new office space/training center. Due to a number of donors backing out on their pledges, we now possess significant debt on the building.
I recently started writing grant proposals in an attempt to attack the principal. However, it seems a bit awkward to apply for grants now that the building is complete.
Is it possible to obtain grants for such a need? Anywhere in particular that I should look? Any advice at all? Thanks
