Gerry, Perhaps this would help. 1. Get "credentialed" by taking a Grant Proposal Writing Course at a local University (not one of those expensive weekend seminars) 2. Explain that you are a trained and Certified Grant Proposal Writer but are just getting started--be upfront. Do your first few proposals essentially for free (I suggest charging only a few hundred dollars so you're services are not treated with contempt). 3. When you have a couple of successes, grants funded, ask for referral letters, and referrals to other non-profit grant seekers. 4. Put your web-site out front by investing some google money if possible. Learn about "key words" and imbed them liberally in your web-site. 5. Hand out biz cards. Email nonprofits, offering to help them for an especially low fee. Bootstrap new business from your initial success(es). Sincerely, Bart L'Abbe www.apublicservicecorp.org
