Thank you so much for your responses.
I had not considered a 'fictitious sample' proposal. What a tremendous idea! Since I will be putting one together for an upcoming training, I will utilize that in future.
Most of my client contacts do come via referral of some kind. However, for these incidental requests, your valuable input has resolved my ethical dilemma.
