In my case, Carl, you are so correct. I am neck deep in a major proposal. But I do agree with you both. I have been asked for writing samples 2 or 3 times and I provided a "fake" proposal that I wrote. I have been asked for copies of "successful" proposals, but for my ethical reasons I have not provided them. All of my clients have been by referral, so word of mouth and a personal "interview" has satisfied them of my abilities.
