I work at the Cato Institute. Along with a colleague from another organization, we are exploring a series of policy forums aroumd several concerns with the federal grantmaking process, i.e., transparency, accountability, structure and coding, use of funds, special interests, corporate welfare, the politicization of the process, etc. We plan an initial introductory session and would like to include someone from the federal side of the process; since we are focusing on problems most likely it would be someone no longer involved.
