    I have seen your good note from time to time since February 18. Nothing posted here so far. Maybe by now you have gotten what you need from someone off-line. Maybe not. In any event, a simple fellow like me always dealt in the most simple of terms when it came to contracts with non-profits. And that is how I handled my intimate knowledge of organizations' databases.

    I see no real difference with a contractor working for you having access to your database, then for me as a fund-raising consultant, to have in-depth access---even taking home and having on my computer---my clients' donor databases, which included other information as well.

    In my consulting agreements, I addressed that point by simply putting in writing and signing the following:

    "Tony Poderis pledges to hold all organizational information, including donor records, in strict confidence."

    Would it be that simple for you? It worked for me every time.
