Janice you have a few options at your disposal, my advice is to keep it clean and simple. If you are only asking travel for one person, show a need for travel for one person. If there are expenses for (2) persons noted otherwise, you can note in your in-kind donations that traveler #2 is donating his/her travel expense, or otherwise state under travel in your budget narrative that someone is paying their own related travel costs. The purpose of the Budget Narrative is to clarify and recreate all the formulas used to present numbers appearing in your budget. This document is a wonderful piece where you are allowed to elaborate on items which would otherwise not be so clear. Typically you are not limited in number of pages in this type of narrative, but go easy on your reader by not making it any longer than necessary to convey your information.
