Wise Guy, Initially, Nelson Mandela and the African National Congress were widely criticized by the West for receiving support from Yassir Arafat's PLO and other Soviet leaning entities. My defense of Mandela, at the time, was, that since the United States, Great Britain, or other NATO nations were not forthcoming with their support, some preferring Mangosuthu G. Buthelezi's Inkatha Freedom Party or even the apartheid government of Pieter Willem Botha, just where was the ANC going to go for much needed support? Even Winston Churchill defended his eventual alliance with Stalin by declaring that he would have signed a pact with the Devil himself, if it meant defeating Hitler. Mandela and the ANC did what they did to survive and eventually triumph over an oppressive racist regime. Would any of us, upon being rejected for employment by one organization, not accept an offer from its chief competitor, especially if no other offers were pending? "A good Marine learns to adapt, improvise, and survive!" Clint Eastwood in "Heartbreak Ridge" Just my thoughts, Rick
