Re: people with disabilites & grants

Your local Community Action agency, if you have one in area, may be of some help. Your county would know of it. You might approach "employment training or support" organizations.
My best recommendation: I would definitely contact my mayor and my local state representative and ask their staff to help find you something. Get someone on your side: staffer, social worker, etc.
Can the trainer accept payment over time to buy you time to fundraise? I would ask the local United Way for SPECIFIC recommendation of who they know at what agency to ask who can directly access some funds.
A few congregations in your area may be more likely to support training/employment needs than rent/food. etc requests. You'll need to ask around.
Don't overlook the match concept: if you put in $xx and church puts in $yy, then city need only come up with $zz.
    Think: I need a sponsor/endorser.

Finally, you can always share your story with the media.

Getting a foundation to make an award or grant to you, an individual, at all, and in a short timespan, will be very unlikely. They like to fund programs or organizations.

    Good luck.
