    I should add that the nonprofit does good work and is local in its focus and service area. It has no known international focus or program, except that a considerable number of (affluent) immigrants and their descendants from this Asian country live in the nonprofit's service area. Still, there is no obvious mission or programmatic connection to a foreign or Asian agenda.
    Some nonprofits in DC like to stage fundraising events that tap embassy support or venues. It makes them appear more elite and upscale. And a free site can mean more net income. (Not the case here, event is not at chancery or embassy.)
