I agree with Linda on all levels! You are posting a very valid question, and one to which it is difficult to quantify answers. Perhaps you want to target what you CAN measure, specifically if you are educating, then the number of persons educated. Total number of persons who visited your informational website, number who are regular or return visitors (meaning they have found it helpful), number who have downloaded information for personal use. From there, your renewal of grant would potentially ask for a measurable outcome of 10% greater visitors (whatever rate seems appropriate to your circumstances)or greater attendance at presentations and information sessions. Not sure if that helps, but I would certainly preface comments for evaluation methods utilizing the argument you presented here in the message board: How do you quantify persons who have prevented illness? Do you measure decline in office visits? Decline in emergency room visits? potentially even mortality rates? Those statistics are kept for such a broad population and not specifically targeted to your cause that you would really just be noting numbers...I would not go that route.
