True, while not all nonprofits post all of their salaries, a good portion still do, and it is definitely worth the look. In my field which primarily includes juvenile intervention programs and schools, I generally tend to find more information than I anticipate. For example, Valley Forge Military Academy Foundation details all employees and their salaries from the tall to the small in their latest 990. Others, such as Association of Christian School International, will only list the top 5 and the number of $50,000 plus employees, but you can often access other information through their statements on self-dealing or other pertinent data that was included with the 990 itself.
