Stairs, If I had not experienced job loss, long-term unemployment, interviewers who never called back, after they learned that I had undergone cancer treatment for two years, I might agree with you that all seems hopeless. There were times I felt that way myself. At the time, many employers were afraid to hire cancer patients for a variety of reasons. I still cannot obtain individual health coverage. If believing that your present strategy takes "courage" helps you in some way, then believe what you want. However, if it merely reinforces a predisposition to despair, plot a new course utilizing your tangible talents towards your advantage. In April, I celebrated my 26th cancer-free year strengthened with the knowledge that "where there is life, there is (always) hope". Rick "The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds." R. D. Laing, M.D.
