I can appreciate that you would (and do)give to people that you know. What about the affluent people that make very generous donations to faceless organizations without any follow-up to ensure that their dollar has actually made a difference to anyone? I guess the problem is they probably don't read blogs!
If you were sitting beside someone right now who wanted to make a real difference in someone's life...would you stear them towards my blog?
My fundraising attempt may be flawed but only because my blog doesn't reach anyone inclined to help. It takes a lot of courage to do what I am doing. Someone just may see that.
But you are wrong about one thing...no sense of entitlement here.
