I am a great believer in helping actual individual people with needs that God puts in my path. If I knew you personally, I would very likely give you a hand, just as I do for people in my community that I know are in need. But I would never respond to a blog with a check, never. Being a 'soft touch' for a donation, I have been taken advantage of in the past. I would never take the chance of sending a donation to a blog and to someone I cannot verify is telling the truth. Not when every day I have opportunities to help people that I KNOW for sure need my help, are worthy of my investment, and that I personally follow up with and see the benefits that my timely donation made in their lives. Thus, I think your fundraising principle is fundamentally flawed and sense of entitlemment inherently self-defeating. I encourage you to channel all of that good energy and effort into something else.
