| Re: Donations are not for People

Linda, I am very grateful for your comment. Bluntness is most welcome. Look, I come from foster homes...have you come from one? or even been to one? If so, you would agree that these are the worst places on earth. This proposal you are working on...forget it. You can do better work lobbying for REAL help to these families BEFORE the children need foster care instead of trying to move them out of a bad situation. So here is the thing, when these children grow up (the ones in foster care) do you realize that most will end up in gangs, drugs and crime? IF they are lucky (not just smart, they must also be lucky) they will end up in low paying jobs for the rest of their lives and raise the next generation in the exact same way. Did you actually read my blog? If so, can you comment on it? To answer your first question, what would a donor be investing in by making a gift to me? They would be making my life better and those of ALL the generations after me. If donors contributed directly to people's lives their wouldn't be a need for foster care!!! Why this website of mine? Because I need help...and if people really want to make a difference in the world, it really comes down to helping actual people and not organizations!
