| Re: Follow-up on LOI's
Posted by AFMiller on 5/8/2008, 9:15 am, in reply to "Re: Follow-up on LOI's"
Hi Julie, Thanks for your response. That is interesting that you always hear back on your LOI's. I sent two LOI's in Dec/Jan and have heard nothing. I placed follow-up calls in March and for the one entity the number was out of service and the other did not return my call. Perhaps because these are smaller family foundations they have little to no staff and are less likely to respond... I pretty much figured that at this point they are not interested in our project, which is fine. I sent another LOI to a small family foundation in March and will scour my file to see if they provide any information on the timetable and how/if they respond to LOI's. Then follow-up with a phone call if appropriate. I have been away from grant writing for several years and do not have a great deal of experience with these smaller foundations. My experience with larger foundations is that they have more staff, clearer processes, are more responsive, etc. Just an obeservation, your insights are welcome. Thank you for the offer of peer review. I will keep that in mind. Thank you again for rsponding ot my posts. Ann
