Julie,
I'm really happy that I visited here and got the scoop on everything before going off on an even wilder goose chase than I'm on already. I understand now just how untenable my position is even if management does not—yet. In view of my employment situation and the present job market I'm simply going to tread water and let management gradually come to the realization that they've dreamed an impossible dream. After all, this whole grant writing thing was their idea, not mine.
