Thank you Julie, Linda and Aurelia for your helpful answers to my previous question. My ill-considered assignment was to write a proposal originating from our for profit firm. I have spoken to the bigwigs and they are placing me under the umbrella of a sister non profit organization. I have more questions and I hope I'm not being to pesty. I gleaned from the Grant Writing USA Workshop that it is wise to try and partner with other non profits when approaching a funder. I am thinking of approaching funders with a letter proposal. So how do I approach potential partners? Do I send them an invitation and enclose or attach my letter proposal to give them an idea of what the proposal is about? Is that my next step? Or do I approach the funder first and then try to attract partners? And what is their motivation for getting on board? Thanks! Donaldo
