On further reflection, I think it is important for you to keep an accurate portfolio of everything you have written so you have concrete examples of success to show to future employers. Also, do you mark your proposals clearly as "drafts" when you send it to the editor? I always label the proposals "First Draft" and then mark it with the date. When my clients send it back to me, I make the corrections and send it back to them marked "Second Draft" with the date and so on and so forth. It is not unusual for some complicated projects to go through as many as ten drafts. Can you have a conversation with the two people who are tormenting you and explain that a "draft" means that it is an imperfect, rough, first attempt and that by its nature, drafts have errors and go through a number of edits before a final version is agreed upon?
