Linda is correct! However, I think what you might be looking for is a company that might benefit from your research when it comes to producing a consumer product. Rather than strictly a "grant", they will want a piece of the action when all is said and done...
If you utilize the search box on this site, and type in the words "for profit research grants" you will find a lengthy discussion which occurred during December. Read the entire post trail and see what you might glean from it. You are wading in very deep waters, which take some very specialized training, knowledge and extremely good legal advice if you find someone who wishes to "invest".
Please understand that IT WILL NOT BE a foundation because they are bound by law to only give to non-profit organizations.
