All, The term "writer for grants" would be just as accurate as the term "proposal writer". If one authors appeal letters, that individual could be correctly called an "appeal letter writer", not a "donation writer", which is clearly the title of the person responding affirmatively to the appeal. There is a person providing the stimulus piece and the person providing the desired response, both involved in the process, but with distinct roles. meriting distinct designations. Picky Rick, (I was taught by nuns armed with pointers and rulers in the 1950s.)
