Have you experimented with the new highest level database from the Foundation Center here? It allows you to do 'keyword searches' within their IRS-990-forms database. You can do VERY targeted searches on exact programs (i.e., keywords: "filial therapy" would probably not give you any responses in the "text" box of the 'foundation list' database. But because someone within the last 4 years probably DID make a grant to a filial therapy initiative, by 'keyword' searching within the IRS-990s across their 90,000+ foundation database, you WILL find someone who has funded that very targeted need. The same could be true of any narrow search criteria. If you haven't played with this new option, please ask for a free trial and run some key words that zoom in on very specific programs. You may be pleasantly surprised. (I know that I was given a 36-hour Free Trial as a CURRECT subscriber when I was considering upgrading to their highest level database.)
