If you start a Pennsylvania chapter, I'll join! And once you move out closer to me this spring, I plan to drag you to our Central PA AFP Chapter meetings. We have a warm and welcoming AFP Chapter. All of the 'local' development people in the area car-pool together to Harrisburg for the meetings (about 1.5 hours each way) and have a great time swapping war stories. Of course, AFP is a broader organization, and the people in our car pool usually include a Planned Giving specialist, the Executive Director of a nonprofit that does a lot of his own development work, ME, and occasionally a couple of hospital development staff people, a community foundation staff person, and/or a Bucknell University development staffer. We laugh all the way there and back! You'll fit right in!
