| United Way as a Social Engineer

I am interested in opinion about United Way's assertion it is a social engineer, not a conduit for givers. I do not agree.
United Way has lost share of philanthropic giving over the last 10 years. Now, United Way seeks to make more of itself than it is by touting boutique agencies at the expense of former allocation recipients or givers' own intentions.
I am the philanthropist, United Way should stop telling people it is.
