Please understand that although the term 'grant' is applied to venture capital money in the circumstance I noted, these folks expect a very healthy return on their grant/investment should the product result in actual consumer use.
Also, in the case I noted, the monies were provided on the basis that expectations toward consumer application were being met on a regular benchmark basis. [It was (and is) a major undertaking that will provide break-through technology for stroke victims, and represents hundreds of millions of investments]. This is not a path to tread lightly, nor without proper advice.
Should you take this path, it would be prudent to invest dollars in an attorney well versed in this area of law (medical research/venture capital infusion) It may take more than one attorney. Consider it money well spent...those providing capital infusion will have done so to protect their interests, you will need to do likewise.
