| Re: The drama of fundraising
Posted by Mark on 7/15/2006, 10:20 am, in reply to "Re: The drama of fundraising"|
Special events were a point of agreement between us as, in her role in the marketing profession my friend has organized countless press conferences, release parties, and other events. We laughed over our similar experiences in this regard. By "drama," we were talking about conflict between people, individuals with adversarial viewpoints, and direct opposition to ideas. In the past I've told my friends that fundraising is a profession of agreement, collaboration, and teamwork. So I think she misunderstood. She presumed that what I meant was there is never any conflict between fundraisers, donors, and nonprofit leaders. -Mark
