Mark: Fundraising is rife with drama. I've heard stories of people embellizing from foundations, fundraisers having affairs with donors, donors trying to influence agencies through donations, to say nothing of the drama of making a pitch to a potential donor, or the wait between the pledge and the donation. I suspect your friend is mistaking your composure for banality.
