| The drama of fundraising

A friend and I were having a conversation yesterday. She is in the advertising/marketing industry, and she was recounting a number of situations that she categorized as "dramatic" or "suspenseful." She then regarded me with pity, saying that I probably never experience that kind of suspense in my work (professional fundraising). If only she knew! :-) That prompted me to post this inquiry. Do you think fundraising is a "dramatic" or "suspenseful" profession? I'd be interested to hear everyone's stories of drama in development if you care to share them. -Mark
