| Funds for equipment

I work for a Children's Museum, and this morning a staff person from Exhibits came up to me wondering whether or not I could find a grant for a diecutter. She explained that it's a piece of equipment that you buy different sets of plates for so you can cut out letters, shapes, etc. for use around the museum in exhibits and for special programs. She said to buy a diecutter and all the plates we would ever need would maybe cost around $5,000 (this was a rough estimate). I don't have a clue where to start looking for funds for this...Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I search for foundations that fund equipment purchases? Thanks!
