Were you asked by a legislator to apply? If so, you'll get the money. Don't be intimidated by THIS opportunity: usually there is no easier grant process than a Senate Appropriation. Although you must 'apply' for it, you will, in essence, be the only eligible grantee if it's the 'pork barrel' that Sy refers to. Many legislators have a staff person who will sit with you and fill out the form based on your answers to their questions, type it up, and print it out. You get the required signatures and attachments and bring it back to the legislative office for their special submittal (at least that's my experience here in Pennsylvania)
