I'm relatively new at the game, but I do enjoy it. It can be intense work, though, and I can see where someone could burn out doing it. I like freelancing because I work on various projects and help different types of organizations. And I prefer private applications, they seem to be less technical, so far. But either one is fine. A government grant can certainly be challenging and there is gratification just in turning the thing in. Hope this helps.
