Hi everyone. Tonight, had to rush my "baby" 23 year old brown tabby cat Roxanne to emergency vet services and they had to put her to sleep. I'm alternating between crying my eyes out and feeling disbelief/numb. 2 days ago, she was happy & healthy, running all over the apartment, jumping on & off couch, pigging out, etc. Yesterday, she vomited numerous times but I thought she would be OK. Today, very unresponsive, felt warm, wouldn't eat or drink, couldn't walk, started convulsing and eyes glazing over, etc. A terrible night and I'm so sad. Apparently she died just due to "age". So much more that I want to say but just not up to it at the moment.
