My darling little Luca
You left us one whole year ago today and yet it seems like only yesterday. This morning the snow is on the ground just as it was the day we lost you. I have been to your little grave under the tree this morning and laid a posy of flowers on a frozen ground just as I did last year when we had to let you go. I told you how much I missed you and loved you and that you will always be mum's best boy.
What I wouldn't give to see your little face look up at me or to have you sit on my chest in bed last thing at night while I feed you your little 'treats'.
I am looking out at the garden where you lie sleeping under your tree and the branches are glistening in the sun. You are my sparkling diamond glimpsed on snow.
Mummy loves you and will miss you always, my darling boy. There will never be another Luca, you were our little bit of joy.
Thank you for a million lovely memories and for the love you gave us.
