I am so, so sorry to hear about Jenna. My heart broke for you while reading that post. I can't believe how quickly your little girl got sick. We just never know when something will arise and steal our angels away from us. No matter how much we cherish our time with them, it's never enough and we are still completely blindsided when we lose them. How old was Jenna? I can't even imagine how hard this is for you right now. The only good thing that happened when I lost my boy Rocky was that I knew his time was coming and was able to somewhat prepare myself for it. It didn't make his loss any easier to handle but at least I had time to say goodbye to him. It sounds like Jenna's illness caught you completely by surprise. The only blessing I think you can take from this experience is that you were with your precious girl when she passed away. Although that would have been very difficult for you, I am sure that Jenna took some peace and comfort in being in your arms in her final moments.
While it may not seem like it now, the pain will begin to ease with time. Please know that we are always here if you ever need to talk.
