Hi Patt,
First of all, I am so sorry to hear about your little boy Devo. To have to face just a devastating loss after 17 wonderful years together is heartbreaking. Like Pam said, if you are looking to bury Devo, you will have to check with your city/town as each municipality is different in this area. When it comes to cremation, my best advice would be to check with your local vet. They will be able to provide you with information about your cremation options and many vets will be able to handle all those arrangements for you to help you deal with all the details.
Cherish the time you have left with your dear friend and know that we are always here if you ever want to talk about Devo. We have all been where you are right now and we know what you are going through. I know that doesn't make this time any easier for you, but sometimes talking to those who understand can be very helpful.
