Hi Laurien,
I was out of town on business for the last week. It helped to be away from the situation here, but I still carried the dread with me. I had a dream the other night that Cuddles came back to life. It was so real. I've also had instances where I've thought I've felt her jumping on the bed or seen her in the corner of my eye. My mother in law said that this is Cuddles' way of communicating that she is still with me. I don't know if I believe that, though.
Our little guy's name is Tuote (Japanese word). He has been uncharacteristically affectionate with me since I got back, and shadowing me in the house. I think he misses Cuddles, too.
Anyway, thanks for your kind posts. The support I've gotten here has really helped me get through this difficult time.
